Funerary culture in Roman Pisidia

Dies Van Der Linde (2014)

In September 2014, I studied the Roman funerary material from the Isparta Museum and surrounding area (ancient Pisidia) in particular relation to influences of global culture and formation of social identities.

My stay at the Netherlands Institute in Turkey enabled me to prepare my presentation at the 20th annual meeting of the European Association of Archaeologists (10-14 September, Istanbul) and to write a related article, which will be published soon. More importantly, due to my positive experiences in Istanbul and at the NIT in particular, I decided to apply for a PhD-position at Koç Üniversitesi (Istanbul).

And that application was fruitful. As of February 2015, I am working at Koç Üniversitesi as a PhD-candidate.
