We are happy to announce that Esen Kayan has joined NIT as a temporary member of our staff.
Esen completed her BA in European Studies (University of Amsterdam). Her interests include contemporary history of Europe and Turkey, philosophy, gender studies & intersectionality, postcolonial studies and cultural heritage. She wrote her BA thesis on cultural identity of Modern Turkey and the representation of minorities in Turkish Cinema. She is a social media intern at The Netherlands Institute in Turkey (NIT), and is one of the contributors to the NIT Blog.
