The National Museum of Antiquities (RMO) and the Netherlands Institute in Turkey (NIT) offer a bursary for a research stay of two months at the NIT in Istanbul. Graduate students and recent graduates (MA and PhD) of universities in the Netherlands are eligible to apply.
The NIT provides housing in a comfortable guest room with a private bathroom for a period of eight weeks. The RMO offers the bursary a contribution towards living expenses of 2000 euro plus 500 euro for travel expenses between Holland and Turkey.
The project that will be conducted while at the NIT should consist of critical collection-based research. Applications will be judged on the academic and societal relevance of the research, as well as its value for archaeological, historical or ethnographic museums and collections.
